Set against the backdrop of 1920's America, at the height of prohibition, a suburban neighborhood harbors a dark secret. Within the walls of a seemingly ordinary house lies "The Oasis," a speakeasy operating in the shadows. As illicit dealings and shifting alliances unfold, tensions rise under the constant threat of law enforcement. A mysterious fire engulfs the home and it’s secrets, leaving behind a burning question...who did it?
As a part of a semester long project, the goal was so to create a title sequence for a TV show or movie.

The design approach for this title sequence features dramatic illustrations and a moody color palette to enhance mystery and suspense. Art Deco influences evoke the era's glamour. Warm hues illuminate scenes within the speakeasy, while cooler tones are used for the house above, delineating the contrasting realms.

Through strategic play of light and shadow, themes of duality intensify. As shadows engage in incriminating actions, it raises suspicion and positions each of the characters as potential suspects. Through layered compositions the sequence immerses the viewers in intrigue, setting the stage for the unfolding mystery.
