BRAND IDENTITY + TYPE DESIGN + MOTION
Chaser Spiked Scoops began with a rebellious idea: to fuse two opposite worlds together: alcohol and ice cream. The goal was to blend the fast-paced, playful energy of an ice cream counter, with the slow, immersive experience of a luxury bar. The challenge was crafting a brand that could thrive in both spaces without losing either side of it's identity. The result is a dual-space brand and store interior that pushes boundaries and dares dessert to do more.
As a portfolio piece for SO DSGN, I had the opportunity to lead the conceptualization, type design, and branding for this project.

Chaser is punchy, bold and needed a typeface to match that energy but didn’t compete with the existing wordmark. We decided to expand upon the brand’s own letterform system to solve this problem and to create something custom.

Chaser Display is a bold, monospaced typeface. The letterforms balance sharp edges with curves, inspired by stemware and geometry of cocktail glasses. Rebellious, refined and perfect for where the brand needs to make a statement.

Chaser is a dual-space identity shop offering two distinct but connected dining experiences. Chaser’s Scoop Shop captures the familiar charm of a classic ice cream shop with a punchy twist. Customers can pop in for a boozy scoop or grab a pint to go. It’s ice cream but strictly for the 21+ crowd.

In the lounge, things slow down. A hidden bar space in the back invites guests to an intimate and elevated escape. Here guests can settle in for rich cocktails and boozy desserts in a setting that blends speakeasy charm with modern luxury.
